I know Ellen Barkin's ex-husband Gabriel Byrne. I know for a fact that Gabriel does not approve of this. He doesn't want Jack in his house anymore. If the police ever have probable cause to search his house and find even an ounce of pot everything can be confiscated and he can loose his house and since he's not an American citizen he can be deported.
