Great article. I'm happy hospital-inquired infections are getting more recognition publicity. I work at a trauma hospital and we have been raising and practicing more prevention of hospital-inquired infections. For our lab, this included removal of our gel warmer. I was not told exactly why and wonder if may the heat helps bacteria cultivate in the gel. Any ideas or similar experiences? Thanks! Liz Tenny, BS, RVT at Mint Medical
