The number of caesarean section deliveries are increasing due to the fear psychosis and anxiety created in the mind of would-be mothers and their family members by the physicians. In india, it is more due to the greed of money by the physicians and the private hospitals. The expected date of birth of child forecast by the physicians is faulty.Such forecastings should be banned. The periodical check-up of would be mothers is not so much helpful. The gestation period is not exactly 290 days.It is from 290 to 310 days. Mothers are begetting offsprings since time immemorial but caesarean cases are a new phenomena of recent times. The artificial food prescribed to the would be mothers plays a big role in this.
