Bananas are deliciously eaten with one's fingers after peeling. Depending on the type, unripe bananas are also cooked, fried or deep-fried. Bananas are the basic food in many tropical countries. Actually, when you compare it to an apple, it has four times the protein, twice the carbohydrates, three times the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice of the apple's vitamins and minerals. It is also rich in potassium and one of the best value foods around. So, maybe it's time to change that well-known phrase, so we can say, "A banana a day keeps the doctor away!"

HOWEVER, if you have a cold or flu,
eating bananas will make the condition worse or prevent recovery.
No statistics or no nothing. Just try next time you have a cold.

I am in protracted SSRI withdrawal, since Jan. 16 th, when a doctor tapered my meds abruptly without tapering ..I suffer with Bizzare and frightful symptoms each day ..
The scarry thing is there is no time limit for this condition ..and doctors know nothing about it ..
My additional problem is Ativan ..I take 2.25 Mg per day, and it does not cover any more ..I get inter dose withdrawals ..
Does anyone know of s benzo -wise doctor to help me with a tapering schedule..?
I will be grateful.
Thank you ..

They are healthier to eat when they are mostly starch, longer to digest, but a good thing, since your blood glucose will not spike, triggering an insulin spike. As the starch convert to sugar, so will the glycemic index and the glucose will rise more rapidly. Might be irrelevant if you have no problem or after a workout. There are other health benefit so eating bananas with black spots, but don't have enough chars to write up about it. :]
