And yet, doctors are still missing a huge percentage of celiacs because of their unwillingness to suggest a diagnosis that would require a change of diet. The diet isn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be and totally worth it. But doctors seem to think that it would be the end of the world, so they check for all kinds of things that can be treated with drugs first. Personally I'd much rather change my diet that take any drug, if I have the choice. All drugs have side effects.
