I know how to get my blood-sugar 'up' when it is very low, like 2.8 I was hot and sweaty, but I also go the other way to have my monitor flashing 'keytones' when it hits 16.1, but how do I get it 'down' when it is so high? Bonnie

I have gone through so many blood glucose meters in the past several years and my most recent meter, Accu-Chek Guide meter, has been working the best. My readings have been within a few points of my doctors every time I get a checkup and using the meter has been simple enough too. Since my insurance doesn't cover glucose meters I had to pay out of pocket but fortunately I was able to buy it at diabeticwarehouse.org fairly inexpensively. The test strips are very affordable too even though my insurance covers most of the cost.
