I have read Debbie's note about the younger siblings being shorter than the older.This is also the case for me.I come from a family of 1 brother and 1 sister.My parents were both 5'8 my younger brother 39 reached 6'4 and my sister 36 6'0.Apparently they got their height from my dad's father he was 6'4.Well i ended up getting my height from my mum's mum she was 4'11.I grew to 5'0 and 45 yrs old.I was actually lucky has i got the extra inch after leaving school.All through school i was measured and always topped out at 4'11.I was the shortest in my year every year.I mean it isnt proud being slightly taller than your grandparent is it.My nan used to call me her big guy when i was around has i was taller than her.I have also noticed her slightly shorter height.She now reaches near my nose.I am a little over 1 inch.I find i am much happier when i am with her has most of the time i am forever having to look up at all my family.I am the same height has my neice who is 10 years old.

I dont really agree with that has in my family of 6 kids we were.Oldest woman 46yrs old and 5'5 follwed by me woman 44yrs old 4'11 followed by woman 42 yrs old 5'8 followed by man 40 yrs old and 5'11 followed by woman 38yrs old and 5'4 followed by youngest woman 36yrs old and 5'8.So how does it end up that i being the second oldest and being 6ins shorter than my 2 tallest sisters.I did expect my brother to be the tallest which he was my parents were both 5'7 i could never accept why it was me has i fully expected my youngest sister ti be the shortest.Watching everyone overtake me in the height chart was horrible.Being a kid was much worse.I was measured 1 month ago only to be told that i am now 4'10.5.Due to shrinking now so how much can i expect to lose.I think i could get to be about 4'9 if i am lucky by the time i am in my 90's.What a shame it is for me hey .

I have a nickname which has always stuck on me.Small Paul i have had it since i was 5 yrs old.I used to be very envious of my 2 sisters i was the oldest then they followed 6 years later they are twins.Well i noticed i was gonna be rather short when i noticed my sisters overtaking me in height.I was always the shortest in class right through all my schooling.My twin sisters managed a height of 5'7 and has they are now 35 yrs old.Me on the other hand am 41 yrs old and 5'1 tall.My parents are both 5'8 so i evpected myself to be like there somewhere.This wasnt to be the case and the most annoying thing is my sisters being 6 ins taller than me.So much for being the big brother hey.I always felt my sisters were respected alot more than myself.They could do everything they wanted while my mum was very protected of me.I just happen to have got my height from my grandmother who is 5'1 also.Then i also have an uncle Jim who is a little taller 5'3.When together we like being together.

It is nice to see that some people do have taller siblings than themselves.I am 29 and my sister is 24.Well she reached a grand old height of 5'6 and me being older reached 5'0.Alright 6 ins aint too bad but growing up with her being taller was a nightmare.The weird thing is that no one else is this short everyone is between 5'4 and 6'2.So i dont understnad where my height came from unless it is a great great nan who knows.The worse thing is everyone accepts that she is older when we are together all our friends think that.I must say she does come in handy for reaching things for me which is good i suppose.Never mind hey has i suppose we are all in the same boat together.Maybe we should make a group the shorter brother and sisters group.Good luck anyway

I am taller than my brother he is 23 and 5'5 and i am 21 and 5'11.He got his height from my mum who is 5'2 and i got mine from my dad who is 5'10.I just blame it on genetics has it depends on your parents or grandparents.I was quite lucky but my older brother still me me a bash every now and then has she is stronger than me so it all evens out in the long run.I just say that he has short mans syndrome and that seems to shut him up.
