The local govt. machinery comes into action only when something gets out of hand. There is too little too late. Chikungunya menace started 3 to 4 months back and it's only now the govt is doing patch work - so called fogging etc. If they had started this on war footing so many cases, so many man hrs, so many deaths would not have taken place. The acountability of admin is nil - who can ask them any question. The current govt. is divided on so many issues. The people of India should be more careful when selecting politicians who come to their parliament rather then selecting an ineffective 'Khichadi' govt. I was in India as a medical student observer and saw many such cases.

All I can say is our Politicians are MAHAN..These Idiots will bet their civilians' life, including their own life in this case, on the line but they will not let go their money... rather govt. funds i mean, which they think belongs to them.. Why did they not start the awareness campaign to put gappi fishes in any water reservoir to take out all larvaes.. and it is public's responsibility too to eradicate all sources of potential mosquito breeding sites.. Govt. can definitely start such campaigns right away!!!
