Your article on penile shrinkage in men receiving hormonal treatment for prostate cancer is most appreciated.
I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2004, and I am currently on casodex and lupron.
I was circumcised at birth, and the first indications that my penis was shrinking was seeing the shaft of my penis coming closer to the head of the penis.
I had to raise the issue twice with my health care givers, before I was told it was the treatment that was causing this.
There is a definite need that this additional side affect is conveyed to men.
I had to use drastic means to get answers, including asking one of my health care givers if he was circumcised, just to have some kind of knowledge that he understood what I was expressing.
It turned out, other male patients were also experiencing this to him, but no one tells them, nor is it mentioned in publications on prostate cancer.
