Extremely illuminating and it makes me happy to hear Dr Krishnamurthy giving lectures on reducing tobacco consumption. If some action can be taken to prevent the picking of Tendu leaves then it would be nipping the supply of Tobacco products at the source. Regds Sameer Surkund

cancer being a non- communicable disease..will it ever become a notifiable disease? but looking at the escalating statistics it seems to have reached epidemic propotions! the doctor could have mentioned some of the ongoing clinical trials in india and also about the role of the oncologist in palliative care as currently not that many are involved in it.

Dear Dr:Arvind., it was informative and nice to go throgh the informations you shared here.,It would be apt if you could make a public awareness package on the eotiological factors of cancer and about the DO's and Don'ts'in cancer prevention.

Doctor, i would like to know about the early symptoms that occur and sometimes it so happens that the symptoms occur at a much later stage,wherein we all are totally helpless and treatment could only be palliative..How do we prevent cancer??[Though its a million dollar question].Yr service is utmost required to the society.ALL THE BEST! Dear Doctor, I am Shashikiran, and am posting a query related to my brother-in-law Anilkumar, 34. 1. 2007 Dec-Salivary gland tumor-Surgical removal and Radiation. 2. 2009 July-Recurred near to earlier place, surgical removal and radiation. 3. 2012-Occurred on the spine, behind the earlier spot. surgical removal. in CT, it was observed metastasis into lungs. Chemo administered [Carboplatin], 3 course between Oct-Dec. Disease did not get controlled and lesions have grown from 8cms and multiple pulmonary lesions. Doctor (Senior Prof of Medical Oncology) has suggested not to have any hopes, and be prepared to safeguard Sir, We are looking forward for your views on any options that can be explored which are viable to us. Please please help us in getting this. Await your views. Thanks and Regards Shashi
