AIDS/HIV - Prevention And Transmission

While prevention efforts have managed to reduce the number of new HIV infections, each year, an estimated 56,300 Americans are newly infected with HIV. Efforts are underway by many agencies, primarily the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), to fund prevention programs to educate people at highest risk, as well as the general public, about HIV/AIDS and preventing or reducing their risk. HIV is spread by sexual contact with an infected person, by sharing needles and/or syringes (primarily for drug injection) with someone who is infected, or, less commonly (and now very rarely in countries where blood is screened for HIV antibodies), through transfusions of infected blood or blood clotting factors. Babies born to HIV-infected women may become infected before or during birth or through breast-feeding after birth.

Hi I've been exposed and freaking out terribly

Hi... On December 2 I had unprotected vaginal sex with an Hispanic girl I know... I'm 27 years old circumcised male... It was for a brief 2 min because I was feeling guilt and stopped... Dec 29 I did a rapid finger prick test at a clinic for antibodies... Came back negative... Then I started freaking out... And the last two days I've been having headache, a bit of diarrhea and watery nose... Now I have anxiety and depression for a while now... And I know anxiety can cause those symptoms as well... I feel my anxiety building up in my stomach... She's getting tested tomorrow rapid test finger prick as well as last week went to an std clinic to get a test... Please help me...

Better to visit a doctor. Symptoms can be of any type and because of anything else. Don't think negative. Be positive.
