A very commonly seen problem in the hospital is hypertentive patients taking blood pressure pills and on sodium restricted diet presenting with low B.P.These patients should not be told to completely go off salt.they should avoid pickles, pappad, dry fish, concentrated salt drinks etc.A 2GM sodium restriction is what is normally recommended.Blood pressure should be routinely checked while on antihypertensives.
