You need to give details of your age, height and weight. Till then you can start with some basic tips to lose weight.
1.Eat smaller and more frequent meals. In between snacking is good. Eat 5-6 smaller meals rather than 2-3 larger meals
2.Do not skip meal as that makes you put on weight. It slows down your metabolism and makes you eat more for the next meal.
3.Eat slowly; don’t try to gobble your food. Slow eating will help you digest food better and avoid overeating.
4.Have at least 12-15 glasses of water everyday. Preferably, don’t drink it with your meal and have it either 30 minutes before or after the meal.
5.Salt intake should be limited. Excessive salt intake causes water retention.
6.Sugar consumption should be limited.
7.Avoid eating out. In case you go out, choose the non-greasy food. Go for Tandoori/baked/Grilled foods.
8.Ensure that your dinner is half the size of your Lunch and must be finished by 8.00 pm.
9.Red meat should be avoided and Chicken/Fish can be eaten instead. Non-Veg should not be consumed more than 2-3 times a week.
10.Avoid visible fat like Butter, Cheese, Mayonnaise, etc. Too much of fat can lead to heart diseases.
11.Keep a store of low energy snacks handy such as carrot, celery sticks, fruits, unbuttered popcorns, roasted namkeens etc.
12.Salads, Green Vegetables, Fruits should be consumed in abundance. They are high in fiber. High fiber whole grain alternatives break the cycle that stimulates hunger.
13.Exercise regularly. It helps to increase the metabolism and stay fit.
