Dandruff is due to excessive flaking of dead skin cells that accumulate over the scalp. Why this happens only to some people is questionable? It could be due to inherent factors or due to low-grade infection or it could be due to certain allergic features. Anyways once it happens the following factors could help minimize it:
Wash your hair regularly and frequently. Use antidandruff shampoo at least twice a week. Ensure to keep the shampoo on for at least two minutes, before washing it off. Washing your hair is the only way to get rid of dandruff.
Wash your comb after each hair wash and change your towels to prevent spread of dandruff.
