Hello Dear,
We need to eat to live. That`s a basic fact. We indulge in comfort foods out of stress or boredom. So first try to figure out the difference between emotional hunger and physical hunger. Have a glass of water first everytime you are hungry. If you are still hungry thats actual hunger. You need to make some dietary changes gradually and also start with some exercise routine- walk or yoga. Try to eat more fuits and vegetables. Also have atleast 10-12 glasses of water in a day. Eat smaller and more frequent meals i.e eat 5-6 small meals. This will prevent you from overeating at a particular meal. Dinner should be half the size of lunch and should be finished before 8 pm. It will make you feel light. Try to include salads and soup for dinner and reduce dinner roti to one. Keep low fat snacks like roasted chana, soya, murmura and bran/ digestive biscuits for munching / inbetween snacks. Also replace breakfast with oats/wheatflakes as they are high in fibre so will fill you up more. Have brown/multi grain bread instead of white and make your rotis fibrous by adding wheat/oat bran. You can keep track of your food intake by writing a food dairy. This will help to to account each and every food item you have consumed. I hope these small changes in your diet will make you feel better and lose some weight as well.
