This specific virus which causes chikungunya is known to cause a reaction in the joints leading to arthralgia which could become very troublesome.Even if other symptoms of the infection subside repeated attacks of arthralgia could persist.This does not indicate repeated infection. If this is very troublesome then you could use some painkillers,the safest of which is crocin.
