The stiffness you are experiencing could be due to a disc problem. The disc is found between two vertebrae. Please rule out any disc problems before you embark on any exercise regime.
If a disc problem is ruled out and you do not suffer from symptoms indicative of any cardiovascular disease than the trainer at the health studio will sketch out an exercise regime based on your weight.
