Apart from isotretinoin other very effective creams namely erytop (clindamycin phosphate gel), mometasone furate ointment are available too in the market commonly prescribed for acne.
So i suggest you could ask the dermatologist for alternate application creams or lotions. They help to a great extent.
Along with the above follow the below guidelines religiously.
- Keep your body hydrated. Drink lots of water and fluids.
- Avoid tea, coffee, pickles, junk foods, chaats and spicy food.
- Drink milk, eat sprouts and easily digestible home cooked food like roti-dal, khichadi, rice-dal, soups, lots of salads, fruits,
- At bedtime take 2 to 3 teaspoons of isabgul fibre.
- If possible drink fresh vegetable juice made of spinach, fenugreek, mint, amla or carrots or beetroot in the morning
- Take omega 3 capsules and a good multivitamin daily
- Most important is to thoroughly clense your face before bedtime.
